The first serious scientific attempt to contact extraterrestrial intelligence by radio waves. The experiment was conducted in 1960 at Green Bank and unsuccessfully looked for radio signals from the nearby stars Tau Ceti (t Cet) and Epsilon Eridani (e Eri). See also: SETI. |
